  1. The cheap 400 mm. lens in use for pictorial photography. This
  2. shot was taken with a Zenith E, the extremely cheap, but
  3. surprisingly good Russian camera.

  5. The film was 400 ISO rated at 1200 ISO and developed in the speed
  6. increasing developer, Paterson Acuspeed. I had been taking
  7. available light shots in the local market hall.

  9. Although the quality of this cheap long focus lens left a lot to
  10. be desired, it was good for this type of shot.

  12. I always asked the audience, if local, where this was taken. It
  13. is a well known street in my town but the compression of the long
  14. lens had changed things so much that no one ever recognised it
  15. until told.
